Origin of the Kuntner Route
Since time immemorial,
Barbian/Barbiano has been situated along an important trade route. The Kuntner Route – which, because of the impassibility of the Eisack Gorge, led from the valley floor to the Ritten/Renon – had its origin exactly here. You can learn more about the impressions which they left behind in the landscape and the traditional customs on one of our art-themed and cultural hikes.
